Earth Day Moss turtle dedication
April 22, 2021 | 4 PM | at the Moss Turtle | east side Troll’s Knoll
Celebrate Earth Day by joining us at 4PM on April 22 at the moss turtle for an outdoor dedication ceremony. The moss turtle, designed and grown by Michiko Tanaka and fabricated by Mach 2 Arts, is located at the east side Troll’s Knoll (just up the hill from the Fremont Troll). Bring water to sprinkle on the turtle and a painted stone to place along the pathway.
WHAT TO BRING
Water
Show your appreciation for the environment by sprinkling water on the moss turtle to help the moss thrive. Please bring your own water to the dedication ceremony.
Painted turtle stones
Help others discover the new public art installation in Fremont with a wayfinding stone. Paint your own turtle stone and bring it to place on the path on the way to the moss turtle. Need a stone to paint? Feel free to grab one from the base of the turtle (we’ll refill them).
Thank you to our supporters!
